Three women traveling together, requested one room but were told by the sales agent on the phone that we would EACH HAVE A BED (or rollaway or sofa bed).

On the tour, we found that two of the hotels (3 nights) had only 2 double beds, resulting in having to rent another room and one night one of us slept on the floor.

We were told that the arrangement made at booking was "not guaranteed in the fine print". We were each charged the same rate as 2 in a room.

The Tour Guide was not responsible, she did the best she could, but really had no control of the situation at each hotel, but this situation really ruined the vacation.

I tried to send a message via the web page and the response just froze and would not go through. There is no phone number or extension for customer service.

Review about: Gate1travel Tour Booking.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $600.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I liked: Tour guide did her job well.

I didn't like: Misrepresentation at the time of booking.

Your agent was improperly trained and gave us a verbal guarantee that we would have 3 beds in the rooms. We would have never made the deposit if we were told otherwise. Poor customer service for sure!

Hello, We do regret if you were disappointed with your accommodations. We do list in the trip preparation and our terms that triple rooms consist of standard twin beds or one double bed plus a sofa/folding bed or cot for third person except in the U.S.

and Canada, where triple rooms often consist of two double/queen beds for three persons which is subject to availability. Naturally, we regret any misunderstanding or miscommunication.
