First problem was a bait and switch of hotel after paying the deposit moved us from a 4-5 star with heated indoor pool and great location to an arguably 2-3 star cheaper hotel.

Second problem that started the trip badly on day one Gate 1 allowed minutes to transfer from U.S. flight through customs and security in Beijing to Shanghai, so the group had to figure out on our own how to make new arrangements for a flight to Shanghai then waited all evening for a ride to the airport dump hotel overnight.

Beijing hotel had recent smoker in first room only to move to a room that had continuous smokers in the hall, stairwell and nearby rooms. China is supposed to be smoke free in hotels and restaurants but they even smoked on Air China flight so we know not to to believe anything they say. Also found peanuts under the bed and pillows smelled like people.

The bad planning and hotels were too large a problem to overlook.

Although the replacement accommodations were at a hotel of equal star rating, we are sorry to hear of any disappointment. It is not our custom to make hotel changes after a reservation has been confirmed and we certainly regret that it became necessary to do so.

As for the flights, please know that they did include a legal connection. Connection times are dictated by the airlines themselves and are FAA approved.

Had it not been deemed legal, we would not be able to issue tickets. That said, we can understand how stressful this can be and regret any inconvenience.
