BEWARE! I booked a tour for a twin room, as my roommate was someone I met through a travel group and did not know well.

We got to a hotel and went into the room with ONE BED. Unacceptable. The tour leader could not do anything about it. I ended up having to sleep on some pull-out with foam cushions(something that a 5 year old would get) that were all different sizes, when I paid for a real bed!

I then contacted Gate1. They made excuses and stated that just because a twin room was requested, it wasn't guaranteed. WHAT??????? Yep!

I also mentioned that the a/c didn't work in the first hotel and it was like an act of God to get switched to a different room with working a/c on the second night after they came three times and said each time it was fixed.

This was just an FYI, so they knew what type of service the hotels they are using were providing. No apologies, just more excuses from Gate1, saying that it is typical that a/c doesn't work in other Countries.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $300.

I didn't like: Excuses.

Hello,We do regret your disappointment with the accommodations. We do indicate the use of air-conditioning abroad differs greatly from the United States, and is often shut down at night and from the end until the start of the summer months. As for your beds, we do make requests on clients behalf and although typically two twin beds are provided, in the end room assignments are done by the hotel and based on their availability.
